Under the guidance of expert trainers, you will learn to manage not only the vessel in all conditions but also the pedagogical and communicative dynamics necessary to become an authoritative and well-prepared instructor.

Together with a team of professionals, you will tackle intensive sessions on teaching methodology and safety, learning to transmit the art of navigation with a modern and engaging approach, true to our spirit: Divertiti Navigando (Have Fun Sailing). This is the decisive step for those who want to experience the sea no longer just as a skipper, but as an educator of excellence.

A final assessment is scheduled at the end of the course: instructors will monitor the skills acquired during the weekend and, upon a positive outcome, the official qualification to operate in the sector will be issued.

Course Syllabus & Route

A training weekend between Ostia and Nettuno dedicated to those who wish to transform their sea experience into a certified and professional teaching skill.

We will turn the boat into a teaching laboratory, alternating sessions on instructional methodology, crew management, and regulatory insights with practical command and safety drills. The goal is to provide all the technical and pedagogical tools necessary to transmit a passion for sailing, preparing you to earn the national CSEN diploma to officially operate within the sports sector.

1 weekend (3 giorni / 2 notti)

IMBARCO

Arrival: Friday by 9:00 PM or Saturday by 8:30 AM at Marina di Nettuno (or at the Ostia Tourist Port).
SBARCO

Departure: Sunday by 6:00 PM at the Ostia Tourist Port (or at Marina di Nettuno).

- Mooring Fees: Any harbor fees incurred outside the departure/arrival port.
- Security Deposit: €150 per person. This will be fully refunded if no damage occurs (which is certain if the instructor's guidelines are followed).
- Estimated extras: Based on our experience, extra costs for this course amount to approximately €20.00–€30.00 per person.

Parking is available at the marina. Please check availability and rates with the facility. We recommend booking a berth in the marina for the boat at a cost of €15 per day (this cost will be split among all participants)

How is our CSEN Level 1 Sailing Instructor course structured?

1) Initial Online Assessment Test
Consisting of 32 questions to be completed in 32 minutes, conducted live via Google Meet.

2a) If your test score is > 22:
You are eligible to participate in the course with a high probability of passing the final exam to obtain the CSEN Level 1 Offshore Sailing Instructor certification. The fee is €400 (before any applicable discounts).

2b) If your test score is < 22:
You may still participate in the instructor course, but passing the final exam is not guaranteed. Therefore, the initial fee is €200. Should you pass the final exam, a final payment of €200 will be required to receive your diploma.

3) Theoretical-Practical Training Weekend with Final Exam:
Join us for a weekend aboard our sailing boats, departing from the Port of Ostia. We will conduct intensive theory and practice sessions to train you and verify your skills and abilities. Upon successful completion of the Final Exam, you will receive your CSEN Level 1 Offshore Sailing Instructor certification.

Minimum Requirements

Boating License (or Skipper’s License)
Previous experience working as a skipper
Highly motivated and a hard worker
Strong customer service orientation (or Excellent public relations skills)
Strong interpersonal skills

Pre-departure Briefing: Safety and operational instructions before setting sail.

Sailing Vessel Handling: Maneuvering and conducting the boat under sail.

Our itinerary is well-organized and shared across the entire fleet. It includes moments dedicated to swimming in the most stunning bays and discovering hidden gems accessible only by sea, as well as socializing both on board and ashore (aperitifs, dinners, parties, and excursions).
